Itinerary Breakdown:

5 days
in the
Selous Game Reserve,
with 3 nights at the Lodge and 2 nights out fly-camping in
the bush

3 days
and 3 nights at Zanzibar.

Day
1 - Pick up in Dar Es Salaam and transfer to Selous Game
Reserve for dinner and overnight. After dinner you will have
the opportunity to experience a night drive, or just relax
and observe the stars whilst listening to the night sounds.
Day
2 - Full day viewing activities include an incredible boat
safari on Lake Tagalala, returning to Lodge in time for
sunset drinks and another fantastic meal.
Day
3 - You will go on a game drive through the Kimara region of
Selous to a fly-camp next idyllically located on the banks
of the Mgeta River. After lunch there will be a walking
safari, accompanied by an armed ranger. Dinner served under
the stars.
Day
4 - Full day game drive in the Kinyanguru region of the
Selous followed by another night fly-camping. No camping in
the bush is complete without a good campfire, keeping you
warm whilst you experience the sounds of the night.
Day
5 - After a morning walking safari there will be a game
drive back to the lodge for a final night in the Selous.
Day
6 - Spend the morning relaxing by the swimming pool or
observing the waterhole. After lunch you will drive out to
the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar where there will be
a vehicle waiting to transfer you to the hotel, one of the
finest resorts on the the island.
Day
7 - Watersport activities from fishing to windsurfing. The
professional dive school offers dives and short courses for
all levels of experience and can take you out to some of the
most dramatic coral reefs in East Africa.
Day
8 - Spice Tour and a visit to Jozanni Forest.
Day
9 - After a leisurely breakfast you will transfer to Stone
Town.
