4 DAYS LAKE MANYARA/ NGORONGORO/ TARANGIRE

 GRUMETI RIVER CAMP
Set in a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti just 50km east of Lake Victoria, Grumeti is a blissful little camp that's nestled beneath some towering riverine trees, on a oxbow of the main river. It's a wild camp at certain times of year yet is always full of charm, romance and character. The staff are pleasant, guides knowledgeable, food excellent and the ten extravagantly decorated tents give another meaning to 'life under canvas'.

 KIRAWIRA CAMP
Kirawira is a reincarnation of an elegant Victorian era outpost, set against the imposing backdrop of the Western Serengeti. Here, guests experience Africa as if they are among the first to travel here. Set upon a hill with commanding views, Kirawira's twenty five luxurious rooms have spectacular views. The knowledgeable guides, exquisite food and friendly atmosphere, make this a camp worth experiencing.

 KLEIN'S CAMP
Klein's captures breathtaking views of an active valley, through which pass migratory herds of wildebeest and zebra. The elephants rule this landscape, moving in numbers unequalled anywhere else in the Serengeti. Accommodating just twenty guests, Klein's is very private! With beautifully furnishings, excellent food and knowledgeable guides to take guests on walks and drives, it's an ideal little camp suited to honeymooners or those who seek greater attention to detail.

 LOBO WILDLIFE LODGE
Located in Serengeti's Lobo area, approximately 45kms from the Kenyan border, this is one of the best lodges operated by the government, though the seventy five rooms are simple. However, saying this, come here for the excellent wildlife which will certainly make up for any of the lodges discomforts. There is a beautiful lookout post near the swimming pool, where one can view animals grazing in the plains below the lodge.

 MBUZI MAWE TENTED CAMP
Set amid rocky outcrops or 'kopjes' as they are called locally, which are geological features of the Serengeti, Mbuzi Mawe tented camp is in the heart of the Serengeti National Park, half way between Seronera and Lobo, in a low use area of the park.
The camp consists of 16 uniquely appointed luxury guest tents each with their own en suite facilities and private veranda. Tents are decorated in a true African luxury style with mosquito nets and four poster beds and luxury his and hers bathrooms

The Serengeti derived from the Maasai word 'siringet' meaning endless plains, and is home to 3 million large animals. Here, on the vast plains, you can get a chance to witness the annual migration * one of natures most breathtaking wonders.

Activities here at Mbuzi Mawe include daily game drives where with the aid of your guide you will have the opportunity to experience and appreciate first hand the harshness and beauty of this area. Balloon flights and sundowner cocktails can be arranged.
 MIGRATION CAMP
Overlooking the Grumeti River, where crocodile lie patiently in wait, Grumeti Camp is the perfect place to witness the migration in action (generally October to November and April to June). With just fourteen spacious tents raised on wooden platforms, the views are stunning. Grumeti is small enough to offer a personal service as well as providing knowledgeable guides, drives and walks. All tailored to guest's requirements.

 SERENGETI SOPA LODGE
The Serengeti Sopa lodge is located in the Nyarboro Hills in the south west of the Serengeti National Park and is the only tourism development in this section of the park. Year round water and the acacia woodland in this area create an ideal environment for the wide variety of wildlife seen in the immediate vicinity of the lodge. Looking out over the seemingly endless Serengeti plains, this hill side lodge is a tranquil oasis set in thousands of square kilometres of Serengeti National Park. The lodge can accommodate around 170 guests in 79 suites, each enjoying wall-to-wall carpeting, a private lounge with a mini bar, a bedroom with two queen size beds and ample room for a third guest. Each has a private veranda which offers stunning views over the plains. As the sun sets, you may enjoy sundowner cocktails by the pool, and in the evening, after a 4-course dinner, traditional dancers entertain guests. Slide presentations are also held daily by resident naturalists.

 SERONERA WILDLIFE LODGE
Ideally located in the heart of the Serengeti plains on the edge of the Seronera River, this is the perfect starting point for exploring the area. The lodge is built on a kopje with excellent views. There are seventy five very simple yet comfortable rooms. Don't come here if you're looking for excellent service and luxurious rooms, though the staff are very friendly and rooms clean. Use the lodge for its great location - especially during the months of the migration. There is also a spacious restaurant and very pleasant bar, that overlooks the plains.

NDUTU SAFARI LODGE SERENGETI
Situated in the south-eastern part of the Serengeti, Ndutu is shaded by towering acacia trees facing the lake. The thirty two cottages are built of local materials and have private verandas to enjoy the views. It's certainly a peaceful little camp with good game year round in the surrounding plains, waterholes and marshes. However, the whole area is transformed during the few months when the migration passed through!

TARANGIRE SOPA LODGE TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Tarangire is recognised as one of the best parks on the northern circuit for elephant viewing during the dry season and Tarangire Sopa is ideally placed to experience this. The lodge welcomes guests to its vast marble-floored reception area with cold flannels and iced juice. In the pretty gardens a large circular pool with a central island, a pool bar and elegant wooden loungers demonstrates the lodge's commitment to comfort. Delicious barbecue lunches are often served here. A broad veranda wraps itself around the lodge and gives prime viewing for the waterhole below, which is filled during the dry season and becomes a magnet to wildlife. The rooms at the lodge are simple, comfortable and spacious and arranged in groups of four, in African-style buildings. Large sliding doors open to a private balcony.
 NGORONGORO CRATER LODGE NGORONGORO CRATER
Perched on the rim of th0.--KSIe crater, the lodge itself is one of Tanz    `Bania's wonders! The design is wonderfully opulent with great attention to detail, imaginative antiques, African art and English country house furnishings… in perfect harmony! There are thirty rooms in three separate camps here, all slightly different, though each oozes romantic, intimately and secrecy. It's certainly one of the most luxurious lodges in Tanzania, so not suited to everyone.

NGORONGORO SERENA SAFARI LODGE NGORONGORO CRATER
Built into the rim of the crater, the plant and ivy-covered native stones are gradually blending into the surrounding hillside. (the lodge is still quite new) The views of the crater will certainly take guests breath away, as the seventy five rooms and bar/restaurant all look out across the valley below. The service is friendly, food delicious and facilities well run. There are also numerous walks and activities one can do from the lodge.

 NGORONGORO SOPA LODGE NGORONGORO CRATER
The lodge is located on Lemala Hill on the uppermost eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, making this the only tourist development on the eastern rim of the crater. The views into the crater floor from here are spectacular and sunsets magnificent. Another major advantage here is that guests can enjoy a safari begins within five minutes of leaving the lodge, as the park gate is very close. The lodge is tastefully decorated, spacious and all the bedrooms are modern, comfortable and equipped with everything one would expect from a hotel of this class. With an altitude of 2,375 metres, the lodge experiences cool and even cold weather, especially during the winter months of June and July when temperatures can get as low as 10' C. However, guests enjoy sunshine during most of the year and must take care when sunbathing by the pool due to the altitude. The food and service here is stylish with meals being a massif collection of delicious international and Tanzanian dishes.

 NGORONGORO WILDLIFE LODGE NGORONGORO CRATER
The lodge is located in a spectacular position: literally perched on the rim of the crater and built mainly from natural stone and local timber. The 75 rooms are all simple yet comfortable, though the views from the rooms make up for any modernisation that they lack. The staff are friendly and the outside veranda must offer one of the best sundowner spots in Tanzania.
